In the “Unwrapping” series, we dive deep into the real numbers behind customer cases. To shield our customers’ data, all cases are anonymised.
Starting Point
Our customer is a Nordic small-cap, operating in the retail food & beverage industry. They run a profitable and growing business with revenue between 10–20 million euros. From our point of view, they represent an archetypal small-cap client. They are focused on growing the business, while IR is handled by the CEO and the CFO — among all their other duties.
Customer Requirements
They require a reliable, cost-efficient, easy-to-operate solution to fill IR requirements, but need it to look good — as branding and quality perception are key for a retail brand. As a company with less extensive history in the stock market, they need to emphasise building trust and credibility. Obviously, this applies to every company — but for one that’s been listed for a relatively short time, you need to establish yourself through trust. Therefore, a cheaper but less credible option, like a sloppy Teams or Zoom meeting solution, is completely out of the question.
Our Solution for Them
We provided this customer with a plug-and-play IR ops system, consisting of IR Website, IR Data Modules, Release Distribution System and IR Event Platform with a self-service interface. The main requirement was to provide them with an IR ops system that minimises manual processes and time spent on IR.
What this setup basically does is the following:
Our customer sets up an earnings event easily with a few clicks, uploads presentation material and gets the link for the earnings event webcast. When a release goes out, it gets automatically updated to their IR website. Before the event, the customer makes sure everything is running smoothly — Inderes being always one phone call away in case hands-on support is needed.
Live time. Inderes provides crisp audio, high-res video, stakeholder engagement functionalities to promote dialogue with investors, and an easy integration to our customer’s entire IR stack.
After the event, the VOD recording and presentation materials get automatically updated to our customer’s IR website — leaving the majority of all manual work out of the process, and giving the CEO more space and time for the stuff that matters the most: running the business.
Event Statistics
Let’s look at our customer’s financial statements 2025 release webcast. In terms of statistics, they draw slightly higher than average engagement figures for a single-market small-cap.
- 50 investors attended the live broadcast
- 150 viewers watched the video-on-demand release
- Nearly 30 questions were presented in the Q&A session through our event platform’s chat functionality
- 25%+ total view-through rate
The customer did not deploy emojis, polls or other engagement features on this occasion.
Above and beyond viewing and engagement, the company receives a detailed list of participants to each event, and they have the opportunity to manage e.g. chat access based on given attendees’ role (analyst, institutional investor, retail investor) — making the investor dialogue more manageable.
Cost Structure
Our pricing for Events depends on the product tier, affecting equipment, staffing, location etc: is it self-service web studio production, supported web studio production, studio production, remote production, video or audio only. Bundling products also affects pricing. With the whole IR Suite software bundle, each Earnings Event becomes more cost-effective in relation.
Depending on tier and production, individual events start at 1,500 euros. Our customer in case enjoys the lowest end of the range, due to the self-service interface, and the fact that they’ve bundled Releases and IR Website together with Events.
Their entire IR Suite solution for a full year is less than 30,000 euros, consisting of all the above mentioned products, and direct, personal customer service by people who’ve actually developed the products.
What Do They Say About Us?
“I would say it was definitely the right choice to go with Inderes. We can easily fill all regulatory requirements, and be able to reinforce our brand at the same time. Our earnings days are a lot less stressful than they would be with a mixed toolbox.”
— The CEO
